The big invitational this week in Alabama is the Chickasaw Trails Invitational. This will be the first test for many of the top teams and individuals from around the state. And it's a great measure for where teams are at here at the beginning of the season. It's also a great way to get a feel for how the state meet course will run this year in November. At
this point the state meet course is the most historic course in Alabama as it
as hosted the AHSAA state meet since 2003 and has had very few changes if any
over the years. Times run in September can
be a good indicator of things to come for teams and individuals in
November. If the weather holds together
for Saturday it should be a great start to the season and opportunity for
runners to see how they stack up against some Alabama Legends.
