Athletes from all over the state have been at Cross Country camps this summer. A few weeks ago we asked you guys to send us your pictures. Here are all of the camp pics we got over the last few days.
Each year distance runners from all over the state make a pilgramage to their favorite distance running camps. Packing a few pairs of shoes, snacks, their lucky socks, a water bottle, and random stuffed animals, these athletes eagerly wait all summer for this week. We chronicle their trip with their own pictures.

The 2009 Jesse Owens Classic will be the coninuation of what has become a traditional mid-season matchup for teams in Alabama and Mississippi while on most occasions bringing in teams from other states as well. Many of Alabama's teams come looking to use the meet as a measuring stick for the state meet course before late season workouts turn from distance to speed.
The much hyped battle between Scott Fuqua and Ty Stanfield lived up to expectations, despite appearing as a blowout. Fuqua and Oak Mountain walk away with state championships.
