COVID-19 Safety/Updated Changes
Spectators and Runners
*At this time, we are under a state-wide mask order.
*All spectators and runners are encouraged to social distance and wear face masks.
*Race participants can take masks off during warm-ups and races.
*Only coaches, runners and race staff will be allowed access to the starting line.
*Limited finish line staff will be available.
*Bottle water will be provided for each runner.
*Timing chips will not be taken off at the finish chute.
*Parents and spectators are encouraged to spread out along the course and cheer for their teams, especially along the long straight pathway to the finish line *Let's all provide and ensure a safe and memorable racing environment.
*Please do not bunch up around the starting and finishing area. The course is wide open and spectator friendly.
*Let's all make this a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone. See you on August 29, 2020.

Registration will close Aug. 26 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
The Brooks High School Cross Country Invitational will be held at McFarland Park in Florence, AL.
*Varsity Girls 1-4A 8:00 a.m. - 5k race
*Varsity Boys 1-4A 8:30 a.m. - 5k race
*Varsity Girls 5-7A 9:00 a.m. - 5k run
*Varsity Boys 5-7A 9:30 a.m. - 5k run
**JV Girls 1-7A 10:00 a.m. - 2 mile run
**JV Boys 1-7A 10:30 a.m. - 2 mile run
**Due to limited participants in the JV races, both races will run 1-7A together.
**Results and Awards will be separated into 1-4A and 5-7A.
**If there are more runners than expected, we will divide the divisions for JV races to 1-4A and 5-7A.
** Race Times and Results provided by "Solid Rock Race Timing."
Sanctioning
The Brooks High School Cross Country Invitational is sanctioned through the AHSAA for Alabama, Mississippi and
Tennessee. Due to teams participating in the Brooks High School Invitational from states that border Alabama, sanctioning approval will not appear on AHSAA or DragonFly Max. However, the race is sanctioned. For verification, contact Brandon Dean@ AHSAA @ 334.263.6994.
Awards
Team Awards- Top 2 teams in each division receive a trophy.
Individual Awards- Top 10 in each division receive a t-shirt.
Individual Awards- Top 3 finishers in each division receive a medal.
**There will not be an awards ceremony. As soon as the results are posted for each race, runners will be able to pick up their award from the awards tent.
