Middle Schoolers play a big part in cross country in Alabama and have a history of performing extremely well at the state meet. This year was no different with 11 scoring in the top 10 this year across all classifications.
It's easy to see how athletes fared in their respective classifications at the 2016 Cross Country Finals, but we wanted to break down the results even more. Who were the top freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors? You may have finished 15th in your classification, but in the top five against runners your own age.
It is always interesting to look at the improvement an athlete makes in a year. We have broken down each season best time for the Top 100 Girls in Alabama and compared them to their last 3 seasons.
Only 5 boys were under 16 minutes this weekend at the state meet while a total of 31 were under 16:30. Find out where you would rank in a combined classification race!
Sixteen girls were under 18 minutes with Anna Grace Morgan being the only individual breaking the 18 minute barrier. Find out where you ranked this weekend!

Xpress Timing sent in an updated list of teams and athletes competing on Saturday. This accounts for any name changes teams had between Sectionals and Wednesday night.
