The AHSAA Heptathlon and Decathlon showcased outstanding athletic prowess from high school students across Alabama. Janie Ford for those that aren't aware or have been living under a rock is perhaps one of the best all around athletes the state has ever seen and she is only a JUNIOR! Janie put up 5257 points in the Heptathlon last week, winning 6 of the 7 events outright and setting a new state record! Sara Cothran of Oak Mountain had a strong performance battling with Katherine Lee of Auburn for 2nd overall. Sara was also the only lady to edge out Janie in a single event, which came in the Javelin Throw!
