Chaminade Madonna junior Shaun Shivers is one of the most electrifying two-sport athletes in the country. On the football field he's ranked as a four star prospect and 12th best RB in the country for the class of 2018. On the track, he owns the 8th fastest all conditions 100m time of 10.47 (2.8 m/s) fourth fastest 200m time of 21.13 by a sophomore. Recently, Shivers announced he will fulfill his dream to be a successful dual sport athlete at the Auburn University. We caught up with him to talk about the process, selecting the Tigers, succeeding in both sports, and more.

The Auburn men's track team placed fifth and the women finished sixth at the 2011 Southeastern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Spec Towns Track in Athens, Ga. Sophomore distance runner Ben Cheruiyot claimed the men's 5,000 meter title, while senior Joanna Atkins won gold in the women's 400 meters, giving the Tigers five conference crowns during the meet.

Girma Mecheso Earns All-American Honors At NCAA Track And Field Championships Jun 11, 2009

Freshman Girma Mecheso earned All-American honors and two other members of the Auburn track and field teams advanced to finals during the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships Thursday. Mecheso placed seventh in the finals of the 10,000 meters, while sophomore Cache Armbrister and freshman Marcus Rowland will go for national championships during Saturday's finals of the 200 meters.
