4A Girls Scouting Report: Randolph School

Alabama Runners:  Your team won 3a last year and have moved to 4A this year where you are pre-season ranked #1 above last year's champion, UMS Wright.  Has this had any effect on the team?  What are their attitudes like coming in to the season?

Coach Terwilliger:  The realization that they are no longer in the 3A division anymore and racing with the big boys has been a tough pill to swallow.  They understand that they will have to have the race of their lives to be able to compete at the 4A level and not fall apart.  This will be the toughest season since 2005.

Alabama Runners:  How does the team look?

Coach Terwilliger:  The boys have had an awesome summer.  Training is going well.  The mind set of consistency has really set in and getting through the heat now will pay major dividends come late October and early November.

Alabama Runners:  What are your goals or key meets?

Coach Terwilliger:  Randolph will open our season Labor day weekend in Memphis, TN at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Cross Country Classic.  This will be our first time to compete at this meet.
