It's time to vote for the Alabama Boys and Girls Performer Of The Week!
First off congratulations to the winners last week : On the girls side it is was Ava Fields of Oak Mountain and for the boys it was Charlie Hollingsworth of Florence High School!
This past weekend was a showcase of outstanding performances in cross country, with several athletes delivering remarkable results that will be remembered for their impressive strides and personal bests.
Bryce McCleary of Hazel Green dominated the Black and Gold Classic, with an incredible time of 15:16. Not only did he claim victory, but he also shattered his previous personal record by an astounding 17 seconds.
Traveling to Arkansas, John Hayes from Vestavia Hills showcased his skills at the Chili Pepper Festival, finishing with an impressive time of 15:30.
Back at the Black and Gold Classic, Travis Barnett of Holly Pond also left his mark, running a stellar 15:44 and achieving a personal best by 16 seconds.
On the women's side, Emma Brooke Levering of Homewood lit up the course with an exceptional performance, crossing the finish line in 17:43 to set a new personal record. Emma Brooke now holds the fastest time in the state by 33 seconds.
Maddyn Conn from White Plains continued her winning streak, clinching her fifth race win of the year at the Kudzu Hills Invite with a time of 18:49. Her consistent performances highlight her talent, making her one of the season's top competitors.
Lastly, Mallory Helms of UMS Wright captured her sixth victory of the season at the Daphne Invitational. Mallory continues to show her dominance in the Mobile Bay area week and week.
Overall, this weekend's races were a thrilling display of athletic excellence, with each athlete pushing their limits and achieving personal milestones that inspire the entire running community.
