CLEMSON, S.C. ---- The Samford track and field team wrapped up the indoor regular season Saturday at the Tiger Tune-Up hosted by Clemson University. The meet marked Samford's second trip to Clemson in a month, and the Bulldogs will return next week for the 2011 Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Samford's junior thrower Kyle Kirby was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Month. The athletes of the month are nominated by each member institution and selected by the conference office.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. ---- The Samford University track and field team brought its indoor school record tally to 10 Saturday as the Bulldog men broke two more records in the final day of the Niswonger Invitational. The Bulldogs set three records Friday night in the women's pole vault, men's weight and men's 200 meters. Saturday, Samford added records in the 60-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Samford University women's cross country team maintained its spot as the eighth-ranked team in the USATFCCCA South Region after last week's win at the Southern Conference Championships. The USATFCCA released its weekly rankings Monday and the Bulldogs still sit above Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss and conference rival Chattanooga. This marks the third consecutive week the Bulldogs have been ranked eighth.

The title is the second consecutive for the Samford women after just three years in the league.
