COACHES & ATHLETES, please make sure you still register on the Milesplit page.
**Also, please make a note that track or XC spikes with the actual spike implements are not allowed on the turf fields. You can wear Super Shoes, Trainers, or XC spikes without the spike implements**
Get ready to blaze into the cross country season at the FREE Nike XC Pre-Season Kickoff, hosted at the Merrimack Turf Complex! This unsanctioned event, sponsored by Nike in collaboration with RunningLane, is the perfect opportunity to test your summer training under the lights on a lightning-fast, flat course.
Whether you're coming with your team or as an individual athlete, this is the ultimate pre-season tune-up.
***To Avoid sanctioning and Association rules each runner will be assigned a Timing Bib, but no team results will be compiled. We will assist coaches in capturing their athletes' times.
Depending on the number of participants, races will be divided into JV and Varsity fields.
8/1/25 Update: Due to the massive response to this event, we will have 9th graders and younger in one division. 10th-12th graders in a separate division. If you have an athlete who is 9th grader or younger and has ran faster than 17:00 in the 5K for boys, 20:00 in the 5K or faster for girls, we will allow them to participate in the fastest division.

- Date: Saturday August 9, 2025
- Nike X RL Store will open at 6:00PM
- Please arrive before 7:00PM to have plenty of time to get your bib/ shop
- Time: Races begin at 8:00 PM
- 8:00PM Girls 7-9th Grade (and younger)
- 8:25PM Boys 7-9th Grade (and younger)
- 8:50PM Girls 10-12th Grade
- 9:15PM Boys 10-12th Grade
- Location: Merrimack Turf Complex
- Distance: 2 Miles
- Cost: FREE!
- Athletes will not be allowed to wear their school uniform. They can wear their own race singlet, t-shirt but under no circumstance can wear their middle school or high school singlets!
