This throws meet is named in honor of former UMS-Wright student-athlete Lyon Newell who passed away in 2002. During his career at UMS-Wright, Newell was a state champion thrower in track as well as an outstanding football player. Proceeds from this competition will go to charity.

Meet Fees $40 per team ($80 for both girls and boys)

Payments Checks accepted on day of the meet at the officials' tent. Checks can be made out UMS-Wright Preparatory School.

Rolling Schedule:

4:00pm: Boys Javelin, Girls Discus, Boys Shot Put

Followed By: Girls Javelin, Boys Discus, Girls Shot Put

Two Entries Per Event. There will be Prelims and Finals.

* There are two throwing areas for each event. Prelims in one event may start while finals are going on in other areas.

**Teams must be entered in the Lyon Newell Throws Meet to be allowed to compete in the Fast Times Meet. No Exceptions!
