*The race venue is charming located in a setting with tons of history. The race course has 4-5 short hills, amazing trails through wooded areas, safe footing, well marked, well monitored, some packed gravel/dirt, some grass, wide starting area, spectator friendly and fast! The race venue has been host to two AAU National Meets, 19 years of hosting the Alabama High School Athletic Association's State Cross Country Championships and has hosted college meets!

Sanctioning: The Chickasaw Trails Invitational is sanctioned through the AHSAA for Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia. Due to teams participating in the Chickasaw Trails from states that border Alabama, sanctioning approval will not appear on AHSAA or C2C. However, the race is sanctioned. COVID-19 Safety UPDATE/GUIDELINES

>Finish Chute will be lengthen and widen. Also, the finish chute will be barricaded whereas there will be a 10 ft distance between the finish line fencing and spectators.

>The portable toilets are cleaned according to CDC guidelines/reguations.

>Coaches should use good judgement in setting up team tents in regards to social distancing. In addition to expanding the usual tent area at Oakville, we ask you to use the boarders of the lake and the east side of the staring line.

>All spectators are encouraged to social distance and wear face mask.

>There will be limited pre-packaged concession stand items on sale.

>The starting line staff will notify teams when they may approach the stating line. (5 minutes before scheduled race time).

>Only coaches, runners and race staff will be allowed access to the starting line.

>Runners may wear a mask into the starting box, secure in hand while running or on shorts, and put back on while in the finish chute.

>Limited finish line staff will be available.

>Bottle water will be provided for each runner.

>Timing chips will not be taken off at the finish chute.

>Coaches will return race packets including race chips to the registration tent after completion of the race.

>Schools will be invoiced $25 for each chip not returned.
