Life of a Runner: Cameron Deloach

I PRed by one second at the Husky Challenge.I really did expect more. I really did want to do better than that and I know I can. While that was disappointing in itself, I was rather pleased with the way I got out for once and the way I held up mentally. That is always the one thing that I feel holds runners back more than anything when it's a tough workout and during the race. I feel like this year has been the first XC season where overall mentality has improved with the whole team. I feel like both teams demonstrated that this weekend, especially the boys. They did an amazing job. And even though I didn't get what I wanted  I'm really proud of the girls' team and the great job they did as well. The team is really pushing along and the next thing we have to look forward to is our relay meet. I really like doing it every year because it's relaxed yet it's still competitive like a regular meet.
