Life of a Runner: Cameron Deloach

As the cross country season begins to take off I can really tell that things are picking up for the team and for myself. I was pretty excited for this week for begin and felt optimistic about it because I finally feel like I am now able to balance school and cross country and feel like I have energy left for everything else. The training was the same as last week with two intense days and distance on the others.
I was excited to see what the team could do at Spain Park after having a low key meet last week. The idea of having it in the afternoon took a little adjusting, however. It was strange to have half of the day to just relax. I thought the meet went especially well and I felt strong throughout the race which is a first for this season. It's nice to have things finally pick up on that front. I also felt like the team performed better and I felt like we were closer together. I would like to personally congratulate teammate Erika Kulp on her 2nd place finish!
The thing  I'm looking forward to now is our upcoming meet in Pensacola. I hope that our team can travel safely and have an amazing out of state meet.
