Life of a Runner: Cameron Deloach

The big weekend seemed as if it would never come and it finally did. Even though I wasn't racing I woke up feeling nervous for all of the people who were, especially my teammates Michael and Alex and my fellow blogger Jordan. I wanted them to do well so much as I knew that it would be the perfect way to end their seasons and perhaps a nice way for the rest of us to see how the best teams in the state compare to each other. Michael and Alex got out well and finished relatively well in the 6A boys' race and Jordan did amazing and finished with a top ten spot in her race!!! They all did an amazing job along with the countless others on Saturday and it was nice to see one more race before the craziness of indoor track starts.

As for the future, our team banquet is coming up and I am happy about it but sad that it will the last time that many of my senior teammates will be with us as apart of the cross country program. They have all served as great leaders and competitors on the team and it is a strange thought to think that they won't be there next year. But God has plans for all of them in the future to succeed and do well and hopefully they can look back on their time with the team as a learning experience that they can take with them in their future.
