Minor senior Jonathan Webb is the defending Class 6A high jump champion. After clearing 6' 8" as a junior in 2002, Webb entered this year's outdoor season slowly, nursing an ankle injury. Now heading into the state meet, Webb looks to be jumping at full strength. At both of his last two major meets, the Mountain Brook Invitational and Jefferson County Championships, Webb has cleared 6' 6". In addition to his high jumping, Webb is also one of the state's top triple jumpers and long jumpers this year. |
