Interview: Kevin Sewell

Kevin Sewell
In 2002, Kevin Sewell won the 300m intermediate hurdles, finished second in the 110m high hurdles, and ran a leg of Tuscaloosa County's record-setting 4x100m relay team to help the Wildcats win their first ever 6A team state championship.

Sewell returns to the track this year as the fastest 300m hurdler in Class 6A and the fastest 110m hurdler in any classification. Currently ranked 14th on the state all-time 110m hurdle list and 25th in the 300m hurdles, he'll look to move up the charts this season while also contributing to his team's effort to defend their 6A team title any way he can, whether it be in the 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, the 100m, 200m, or the javelin.
But Kevin Sewell doesn't mind doing seven different events. If he could, he'd do ten. After all, this is his senior year, and he and his teammates have a blue trophy to defend.
