Interview with Trey Ridenour of Elberta High School

Q: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Cookies and Cream

Q: Where are you planning to attend college? Or do you have other post high school plans?
A: University of Alabama-Huntsville

Q: Do you plan to continue competing in track and field or cross country in college?
A: Yes

Q: What is your favorite event to compete in and why?
A: Discus because the feeling of catching it back and knowing you are about to rip it is unmatched in track.

Q: Do you have any pre-race/competition rituals or superstitions?
A: I pray before I enter the circle every throw.

Q: Which track or cross country meet was your favorite and why?
A: Mobile Challenge of Champions because of the atmosphere and knowing people were going to have big throws.

Q: What is your favorite memory or highlight from your time on the track and field or cross country team?
A: Winning a state championship

Q: Is there anyone you'd like to give a special shout-out to?
A: Coach Mitchell Bennifield and Coach Garrison Williams for always being by my side and pushing me to be the best someone can in track and field.

Q: What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for your teammates as you graduate?
A: Breathe, get out of your head. You can only achieve what you think you can.
