Tyynissmaa is an enigma wrapped in a paradox. She holds the All-Time Alabama record on the state course and is the only girl in the field to have gone under 17 minutes in a race. The problem? That was two years ago. Last season saw her win races but with no real drive. This past Saturday she faced her first real competition of the year and handled it well taking the win over a talented group of Auburn runners and dropping a minute off her previous season times like it was easy. Is she back? We HOPE so. She is amazing when pushed...and she will be pushed on Saturday.
