What was your most memorable meet and why?
My most memorable meet was the state meet of my sophomore year. That meet was when I got to know my teammates better than I ever have.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my biggest competition at the sectional meet back in late April of this year.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most and why?
My biggest accomplishment would be getting back in shape after multiple injuries in the past two years. I went from a 15 second 100 meter and I got that down into the mid 12 second range.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your running career in high school?
I would have kept up with weight training during my freshman and sophomore year.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome during your HS Track career?
I had an issue with my foot and I tore my hamstring junior year. I also had surgery before the outdoor season of my senior year.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss my team. I got to know most of them well over the years and they're like family to me.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Learn to love weight training. Don't get discouraged that you can't lift 500 pounds or that you're the best on the team. That will come after you put in the work.
What are your post-highschool or college plans?
I will be studying engineering at Mississippi State University in the fall.
Who would you like to say thank you to?
My coaches, my parents, my teachers, and my Savior, Jesus Christ.
