NOTE: REGISTRATION CLOSES 9/19/10 - YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TEAM REGISTERED BY THEN. YOU MAY ADD/CHANGE YOUR ROSTER UP UNTIL 10/3/10. NFHS RULES PROHIBIT EXCEPTIONS.
The elite All American Championship is limited to 10 athletes per team. You may enter the remainder of your team into the appropriate division of your choice (e.g., either Small School/JV race OR Large School race). Due to NHS Federation rules, middle school teams may only race in the Middle School races.
This year we are expanding the collegiate races to Men's 8K and Women's 5K (open to teams and individuals). Colleges are limited to 12 athletes per team. THE MEET WILL BE A PREVIEW MEET FOR NCAA DIV. I SOUTH REGIONAL (Nov. 13) AND DIV. II GULF SOUTH CONFERENCE (NOV. 6) CHAMPIONSHIPS! We are adding USATF Youth Age group races for USATF Club Teams and Individuals.
To add another twist and do something for the coaches, we moved the community Open Race to just after the High School and Collegiate awards and made the race not only a USATF Open race, but a Coaches 3K Challenge! The Trak Shak is sponsoring this race and will provide Coaches Awards for the top 3 male and female coaches. This race is dedicated to service men and women who are deployed overseas and will be a fund raiser to support the military family support groups who support the families of deployed military personnel.
The high school and middle school races will be sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSHSAA). Athletes must represent their school (no unattached athletes) which must be a member of their state's Association in order to enter.
Please note that for middle school races sanctioning rules require us to limit these races to 7th and 8th graders. 9th graders may also enter middle school races if the 9th grade is housed in the same building as the 7th and 8th grades at the middle school. No 6th grader may compete on a team.
Any USATF member may enter their age appropriate USATF race as an individual or as part of a USATF Club Team.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Hoover Oct. 9!
