We are so excited to be hosting our 3rd Annual Berry Backwoods Challenge. 

The Berry Backwoods is a challenging true cross country course.  It has a quick start, but within the first 250 meters it hits the trails that wind through the woods across from the park starting with a spectacular downhill followed by a gradual climb through multiple switchbacks before crossing back under the road and finishing near the start line in Veteran's park.  This is the same course that will be used for the Metro Championship, so have your runners come out and preview the course early in the season!

RACE SCHEDULE:

4:30 pm: Middle School Girls

5:00 pm: Middle School Boys

5:30 pm: AWARDS

Awards: Top 15 boys and Top 15 girls will earn elite finisher shirts.

Cost: $150 per team per gender $300 per school or $15 per athlete if not a full team

This is a true cross country course with mostly a natural surface and some packed gravel and grass.  Athletes will start in the field and head into the woods where winding trails provide an entirely new experience with several different legs of the trail winding up and down and around. The course is very coach and spectator friendly in the woods because the athletes can be seen multiple times as they traverse the new trails back there.  Then it will have a nice fast finish passing the pavilions in Veteran's Park with lots of space for spectators!
