7A SECTION 4

*Update 10/29/25 -

1 - The city has asked that we back the start up to the black porous rubber path directly behind the traditional start line rather than use the left hand side. They were concerned about that side of the course not draining well as well as it and the start boxes and being torn up before the college races this weekend. So, I have a picture attached for you to check out where the new start line will be. It is literally directly behind the line and we will have flags so you can't miss it.

2 - The tent city is moving, I also have a picture for you to see where attached. The normal area is a mud pit so this will be much better. For directional purposes, this is right behind the cart shed (tin building) and to the west a bit.
3- With it being cold, windy, and wet tomorrow I am going to get a head start on awards to try and allow teams/runners to exit as quickly as possible. So, 7A boys awards will start as soon as the 7A girls race finishes. I want to allow coaches and teams the chance to cheer on their own class before beginning, but also don't want to wait until the very end of the meet. Roughly 10:30 more or less.
4 - Team check in will be at the front of the cart shed, under the little pavilion area. We will also have coaches hospitality inside there as well.
Please email me if you have any questions. See ya'll tomorrow -- & tell your spectators to bring their best waterproof shoes, or shoes they don't mind getting dirty, because it is very wet and muddy out there.

*For sectionals we will be using the layout shown below for the 5K course. This removes the lower area by the parkway and is much more spectator friendly.
*Description -- same start line as usual but we will stick to the left hand side for the first loop, then take the first right turn about 600 meters up, to connect to the usual 5k course. Next deviation from the usual layout is that you will then take the right-hand connector at about 1200 meters to head to the primary hill where you will hit the mile mark about halfway up it. From there you run the typical loop around back but head to the starting area by taking the left at the fork and again go 600 meters to the first right turn that you used the first loop and take it a second time. This time you keep going past the right turn you took during the first loop and go all the way to the back to do the inner loop in that back portion of the course which shoots you into the finish straightaway seamlessly.
