The 2023 offering will continue to be a two day event. *I will annually complete NFHS Sanctioning so that states other than just AL borders can compete. If this applies to you, please contact me directly ASAP.
*Also - ONLY high school attached runners can enter. No unattached runners or club teams are eligible.
*Furthermore, only schools that are members of their respected state associations are eligible to participate & a team staffed & certified coach must register and travel with the athlete(s) to the meet and be in attendance through their competition. The account to pay when using Venmo is HHS-XC -- you need to list your full team name, city and state, an email address, and the purpose of payment otherwise there will be a delay getting you the password.
You will pay a flat fee per division entered, not based on the amount of athletes you enter, so plan ahead. If you use Venmo, please list your full team name with state and address.
Entry Fee: $75 for each division entered - each individual race is a separate division - $15 Per Runner in the matter of runner/runners not having 5 team members.
**Please do not provide other teams the meet registration password. We ask that you allow meet management to do that.**

5:00 PM - Junior High boys 2 mile- unlimited entry for 7-9th grade boys ONLY
5:15 PM - Junior High girls 2 mile - unlimited entry for 7-9th grade girls ONLY
5:30 PM- Girls "open" division 5K - unlimited entries, all grades 7-12, no time standard
6:00 PM - Small School Boys "open" division 5K - unlimited entries, all grades 7-12, no time standard
6:25 PM- Large School Boys "open" division 5K - unlimited entries, all grades 7-12, no time standard
*for large schools, this should be for additional runners who are not running on Saturday simply due to the numbers on your team. Top 7 for large schools are not allowed to compete in this division. You must compete in Blue on Saturday as a large school with your top 7. Then Crimson with your next 7, then open would be for runners above that. If this rule is broken, your individuals can receive their awards, but your team results will be disqualified from the race. Please follow the rules in place to keep each division honest.
Awards on Friday will begin at roughly 5:35, or whenever we get results for the first race and roll throughout the evening as we get race results.
The city of Huntsville will be providing an awards stage. We will begin with the earlier races & begin each division as results are reported.

9:00 AM - Awards will begin & be on a rolling schedule as results are provided and run in the same order as race schedule.

Blue Boys - top 15 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Blue Girls - top 15 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Crimson Girls - top 15 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Crimson Boys - top 15 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Gray Boys - top 10 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Championship Girls - top 20 individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Championship Boys - top 20 get individuals get shirts, top 3 get medals
Championship - 7-12th grades eligible - Will be assigned by the meet director. We will cap this race at roughly 35-40 teams. Top individuals whose teams are at the meet but are not assigned to this division should race here as well. In other words, a projected top 50 individual should race in the championship regardless of where their team is assigned. The goal is to keep the Championship race under 350 runners & make it a true championship level race. Top 5 teams will get a trophy and be recognized. Boys can enter 7, girls up to 8.
Blue - 7-12th grades eligible. This group will be assigned and will include teams roughly 36-75. Top 3 teams will get a trophy and be recognized. Boys can enter 7, girls up to 10.
Crimson - Varsity Group 3 & JV next 7 - 7-12th grades eligible. This group will be assigned and will include teams roughly 76-110. Top 3 teams will get a trophy and be recognized. Boys can enter 7, girls up to 10.
Gray - JV next 7, teams 110+. Top 2 teams will get a trophy and be recognized. This is boys only unless numbers necessitate a 4th girls division.
Small/Large School Open - Additional JV only - no top 7 varsity runners in large school open - 7-12th grades eligible. Top 3 teams will get a trophy and be recognized. The large school open should be used for spillover only.
