The 2021 offering will continue to be a two day event. The Friday session will be an open 5k day along with the 2 mile races.
*I have completed NFHS Sanctioning so that states other than just AL borders can compete. If this applies to you, please contact me directly ASAP.
*Also - ONLY high school attached runners can enter. No unattached runners or club teams are eligible.
*Furthermore, only schools that are members of their respected state associations are eligible to participate & a team staffed & certified coach must register and travel with the athlete(s) to the meet and be in attendance through their competition.
Friday *order of events subject to change
5:00 PM - Freshman boys 2 mile- unlimited entry for 9th grade boys ONLY
5:20 PM - Junior High girls 2 mile - unlimited entry for 7-9th grade girls
5:40 PM- Middle school boys 2 mile- (7/8th graders) - unlimited entry for 7/8th grade boys ONLY
6:00 PM- Girls "open" division 5K - unlimited entries, all grades 7-12, no time standard
6:25 PM - Boys "open" division 5K - unlimited entries, all grades 7-12, no time standard
6:30 PM - Awards - we will have one awards ceremony per day. The city of Huntsville will be providing a stage. We will begin with the earlier races
Saturday *order of events subject to change
8:00 AM - Blue Boys - Group 2 varsity teams & a few B team/JV (teams with top 7 in championship) teams will be entered in this division
8:25 AM - Championship Girls - top 7 runners per team
8:55 AM - Championship Boys - top 7 runners per team
9:15 AM - Blue Girls
9:40 AM - Crimson Girls
10:10 AM - Crimson Boys
10:30 AM - Awards - we will have one awards ceremony per day. The city of Huntsville will be providing a stage.
Championship - Varsity Group 1- 7-12th grades eligible
Blue - Varsity Group 2 or JV next 7 - 7-12th grades eligible
Crimson - Varsity Group 3 & JV next 10 - 7-12th grades eligible
Open - Additional JV only - no primary/top 7 varsity runners - 7-12th grades eligible
Freshman - open division for all 9th grade runners- you can move your top middle school runners up into this division if you prefer
Middle School - middle school runners grades 7-8th (6th grade doesn't compete AHSAA)
*We will be hosting the following state qualifying section races again this year at this course**
1A Section 4 - Athens Bible, Cedar Bluff, Decatur Heritage, Falkville, Ider, Lindsay Lane, North Sand Mtn, Oakwood Adventist Academy, Pisgah, Sand Rock, Section, Skyline, Tanner, Woodville
4A Section 4 - Brooks, Central (Flor), Deshler, Madison Academy, Madison Co, Priceville, Rogers, West Limestone, Westminster Christian, West Morgan, Wilson
Entry Fee:
$75 for each division entered
$15 Per Runner in the matter of runner/runners not having 5 team members.
Max per team - $500 - this is a total max across boys/girls
