Format and final info for Southern Showcase race entries:

  1. Below I have assigned the full teams that will race in the championship race & this list is final- please contact me immediately if for some reason you do not want your team to be in it - However, please only do so if you have a very legitimate reason; such as a majority of your top runners arent able to race.

  2. If you have runners that are below 16:30 on the boys side, and 20:30 on the girls side, they should run in the championship race especially as they get closer to sub 16 and 20.

  3. Any team who is not assigned to the championship (Showcase) race that has runners under those numbers above SHOULD enter them in the championship race. They will fill up boxes as individuals on the outside (to the left and right) of the assigned team boxes on a first come, first serve basis.

  4. Furthermore, any team not assigned to the championship race are strongly suggested to enter your runners in this way & boxes will be first come, first serve:

    1. Boys (not in your top 7 as a championship race team) between 16:30-18:30 minutes should be in the Blue race up to 10 runners.

    2. Girls (not in your top 7 as a championship race team) between 20:30 and 23:00 minutes should be in the Blue race up to 10 runners.

    3. Boys 18:30-20:30 & Girls 23:00-26:00 minutes in Crimson up to 10 runners per team with any above those times in the Open.

  • At the end of the day, as long as they have a bib/chip assigned to them, you as their coach will tell them where to race.

  • I cant provide a level of oversight where they must run where I say. I really appreciate teams following the championship race assignments, and then from there, I trust you all to do what is best for your team from there following protocol as closely as possible.

  • I simply want the races to be balanced both competitively speaking and with regards to numbers and would like to avoid having races where a runner gets out a minute in front of the field and throws off the lead/follow/timing logistics of it & other races.
