BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- Tamari Davis opened her indoor season with a US No. 1 in the 60 meter dash early Saturday and finished with another nationwide lead, winning the 200m in a meet record 23.66 seconds at the USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational. Davis swallowed the opening curve and hit the gas on the straightway, building a 10 meter lead before turning one final time and extending that gap to dominate the field by nearly two seconds. BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- Oak Hall (FL) High School sophomore Tamari Davis opened up her indoor season with a US No. 1 time in the 60 meter dash, winning the girls 15-16 division in 7.36 seconds. It marked just the fourth 60m race of Davis' high school career following her national title in the event at New Balance Nationals Indoor last March.
