BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- Tamari Davis opened her indoor season with a US No. 1 in the 60 meter dash early Saturday and finished with another nationwide lead, winning the 200m in a meet record 23.66 seconds at the USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational. Davis swallowed the opening curve and hit the gas on the straightway, building a 10 meter lead before turning one final time and extending that gap to dominate the field by nearly two seconds. It also was faster than Davis' winning time of 24.08 seconds in the 13-14 division in 2017.
