WHERE: Palmer Park, Madison, Alabama 35756
DIRECTIONS:
Alternate route from I 565 E :
Take the Greenbrier Road (Exit 3). Turn left on the top of the ramp and continue 2.3 miles to Old Highway 20. Turn right on Old Highway 20 and go 3.2 miles to County Line Road and turn left. Follow County Line Rd (1.5 miles) to Palmer Rd. Turn right on Palmer Rd and go .6 miles to entrance. Turn right into Palmer Park.
Alternate route from I 565 W :
Take the Wall-Triana Blvd (Exit 9). Turn right at the top of the exit ramp and go .3 miles to Madison Boulevard (first traffic light). Head south on Wal Triana Hwy for .2 miles continue straight turns into Sullivan St. Go 1.1 miles on Sullivan St. Turn left on Palmer Rd. Continue on Palmer Rd 1.1 miles. Turn left into Palmer Park.
DIVISIONS:Section 6 Class 6AGirls and Boys DISTANCE: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) cross country course

SPIKES: Recommended. Grass and dirt with a few pavement / gravel crossings.

9:40a.m. Section 4 Class 7AGirls 5K
10:20a.m. Section 6 Class 6ABoys 5K
10:55a.m. Section 4 Class 7ABoys 5K
Entries: The entry fee is $15 per athlete with a maximum of $75 per school per race i.e. a school who has a Varsity Girls team and a Varsity Boys team would pay $150. Check payable to James Clemens H.S.
AWARDS: All state qualifiers will receive an award.
Team trophies to the top 3 qualifying Teams
RESULTS: Available immediately following the meet to each Head Coach
CONCESSIONS: FULL CONCESSION WILL BE AVAILABLE.
TSHIRTS: WIDE VARIETY OF T-SHIRTS AND SWEAT SHIRTS WILL BE ON SALE.

QUALIFIERS: The top 3 teams and the first 6 individuals not on those teams.

Special Rules- From AHSAA Fall Sports Book-
1. A team must participate in a section qualifying meet in order to be eligible for
the state meet.
2. Submit entries via the Alabama Runners website (www.alabamarunners.com)
one week before the section meet.
3. A school competing in a section meet may enter a maximum of 10 runners in
each division in which it enters.
4. A school competing in the state meet may enter a maximum of 10 runners in
each division in which it qualifies
5. Individuals and teams may qualify for the state meet at a section meet.
6. Running combined races in section meets is permitted at the discretion of the
section meet director.
7. Schools may substitute team members between the section and state meets.
8. The assignment of teams in the starting boxes at the state meet will be based on
section winners, runners-up, and third place finishers.
9. Schools that fail to participate in a section meet after submitting entry forms are
subject to a monetary fine.
10.Use of GPS tracking/timing devices by participants is not allowed
