Life of a Runner: Jordan Adams

Flat and fast courses are a cross-country runners favorite. This weekend, my team raced at the Florence Invitational at McFarland Park. Although, I was having a bad day and ran my worst race of the season. On the bright side, our JV Girls did amazing! Phoebe Moon placed first in the JV 2 Mile and even set a new PR! Our other girls, Taylor Adams and Sarah Henry, placed 6th and 11th! Cele Moon placed 4th and I placed 5th for our Varsity Girls.  As for our boys, Zach Phillips placed 14th in 1A-4A. Our team did fantastic overall and I am very proud of everyone. This week we will not be competing at any meets. Our next meet will be Jesse Owens in Moulton, AL. This race is one of the bigger ones that is held in the state. Teams from Florida, Tennessee, and Mississippi compete there. I love going against teams from other states because you don't get to race against them very often and they are great competition. I always have had a very fun time at this race. Our goal still stands, to lower times and have a better overall performance throughout the race. I wish everyone luck this weekend as you compete at many different races!
