You just cleared 7-3 to become the current #1 High Jumper in the country. So what is next?
Well, I also plan on being U.S. #1 in the 400m this season also. I must admit I'm still kind of high from what I achieved this past Saturday but I am still in ambition mode.
You signed with Mississippi State. Any idea what you will be doing there and what your expectations are of competing in the SEC?
I will be specializing in the 400m meter but I will do anything to score points for my team. As far as the SEC, the name speaks for itself and I know I have my work cut out for me.
Have you changed anything training wise between last year and this year? What are you focusing on this season?
When it comes to my training it's pretty straight forward. My school doesn't have a track, high jump pad, nor jumping pits. So we take what we have and put it to use; our athletic ability and hard work. My main focus this year is winning an overall state championship.
What goes through your mind before the gun goes off? or before you jump?

Do you have any superstitions when it comes to competing?
No not really. Just to stay humble and always see myself doing it before I attempt it.
What event do you prefer and why?
The 4x4 relay. Not only do I have to do my best but at the same time I have three other legs depending on me to bring it home.
What are 3 things in your track bag you can’t live without?
My iPod, my cookies, and my spikes of course.lol
