Senior Salute: Presleigh Montalvo

This Satsuma graduate will be taking her sprint talent to the University of South Alabama.  Presleigh Montalvo is a multiple time state champion and podium finisher!


Interview with Kinley Harris of Hewitt-Trussville High School.

Q: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

A:  Mint Chocolate Chip

Q: Where are you planning to attend college? Or do you have other post high school plans?

A:  South Alabama

Q: Do you plan to continue competing in track and field or cross country in college?

A: Yes

Q: What is your favorite event to compete in and why?

A:  The 100 meter because it is so fast and I have so much adrenaline while racing!

Q: Do you have any pre-race/competition rituals or superstitions?

A:  I always have a celsius for energy, and I pray before and after every race!

Q: Which track or cross country meet was your favorite and why?

A:  My favorite track meet is the state meet! There are so many athletes, and it is always the best time!

Q: What is your favorite memory or highlight from your time on the track and field or cross country team?

A:  My favorite memory is having my Coach throw me into the 100 meter hurdles for a the first time at a meet!!

Q: Is there anyone that you'd like to give a special shout-out to?

A:  I want to thank my wonderful coach, Coach Brent. He has always been the most encouraging Coach, and he has impacted my life in so many ways!

Q: What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for your teammates as you graduate?

A:  To my teammates: Always work your hardest. As my Coach says, anybody can be motivated to run, but you must be dedicated to running and improving each day.
