The Angelo Harris Invitational 2025 Recap

The Angelo Harris Invitational 2025 took place on March 22, 2025, at the University of South Alabama Jaguar Track in Mobile, AL. Hosted by McGill-Toolen Catholic, the event featured high school athletes competing in various track and field disciplines.

In honor of Angelo Harris, the "Italian Stallion" award was presented to the most outstanding athlete.

Former gymnastics teammates Janie Ford, Amiah Matone, and Wynterlyn Guyton, now competing for separate high school teams, finished 1-2-3 in the 100m hurdles at the invitational. Senior Janie Ford had a standout performance, winning the 100m in 11.8 seconds (AL #2) and the 200m in 24.03 seconds (AL #1). Her achievements earned her the Angelo Harris "Italian Stallion" award for the best female track athlete of the meet.

Janie Ford Vanderbilt University commit set PR's in the 100m and 200m dash. Janie's 200m performance was the 12th fastest time in Alabama prep history.  This mark is exceptionally impressive as she set the mark running into a slight headwind!
