The Ice Breaker Invitational was a remarkable event, showcasing the exceptional talents of high school athletes. With 100s of exceptional performances on the day here are just a few of the highlights of each event:

High School Girls' Standouts:

  • 1600 Meter Run: Delaney Vickers from Spain Park led with a time of 5:01.37.
  • 400 Meter Dash: Daisy Luna of Hoover excelled, clocking 56.43.
  • 4x200 Meter Relay: Pearl High School's relay team set the pace with 1:45.37.
  • 4x400 Meter Relay: Hoover's relay team dominated in 4:02.79.
  • 4x800 Meter Relay: Hewitt-Trussville HS led with a time of 9:51.61.
  • 60 Meter Hurdles: Janie Ford from St. Paul's Episcopal triumphed with 8.88.
  • 60 Meter Dash: Taylor Canada of Hoover sprinted to a time of 7.76.
  • 800 Meter Run: Riley Zeanah from Vestavia Hills HS led with 2:15.69.
  • High Jump: Brianna Stephens of Columbia reached a height of 5-4.
  • Long Jump: Caroline Sanders from Scottsboro HS achieved 17-10.5.
  • Pole Vault: Ansley Murphy from Briarwood Christian School cleared 11-6.
  • Triple Jump: Janie Ford from St. Paul's Episcopal marked an outstanding 40-5.5.


High School Boys' Standouts:

  • 1600 Meter Run: Ethan Edgeworth from Cold Springs set the pace with 4:12.46.
  • 3200 Meter Run: Arthur Langley of John Carroll Catholic High School finished in 9:26.01.
  • 400 Meter Dash: Dallas Beck from Hoover led with 49.70.
  • 4x200 Meter Relay: Hoover's team excelled with a time of 1:30.91.
  • 4x800 Meter Relay: The James Clemens team clocked in at 7:56.50.
  • 60 Meter Hurdles: Denver Cash of Hoover won with a time of 8.00.
  • 60 Meter Dash: Jordan Urrutia from Bob Jones and Antonio Hicks of Oxford High School (AL) both clocked 6.94.
  • 800 Meter Run: Eric Moore of Huntsville HS finished first with 1:55.00.
  • High Jump: Rashun Tatum from Albertville and Devon Walker of Scottsboro HS both cleared 6-2.
  • Long Jump: Maddox Brown of Hattiesburg High School leaped 23-4.5.
  • Pole Vault: Jake Webb from Hamilton soared over 14-9.
  • Triple Jump: Charles Crowder of Hoover made an impressive leap of 45-11.25.
