St. Paul\'s women dominate in Pensacola

Led by the one-two punch of senior Tara Lenn and junior Mary Carlton Johnston, the Saint Paul's women placed all five scoring runners in the top 10 overall places for a score of just 27 points at the Wildcat Invitational in Pensacola, FL (9/4).

Lenn's winning time of 18:38 is a new course record for John R. Jones, Jr. Park. Johnston finished second in 19:27. St. Paul's third, fourth, and fifth runners also came in consecutively, taking 7th, 8th, and 9th places overall. Rounding out the top five for St. Paul's were Allison Kneip (7th in 20:30), Emily Collins (8th in 20:46), and Katelyn Simpson (9th in 20:56).

On the men's side, Mountain Brook HS placed third behind Washington HS and Walton HS, both of Florida. Nicholas Lepley led the Spartans with a seventh-place finish in 16:58, while eigth-grader Bill Matthews placed 19th overall in 17:23.
