James Clemens' Dylan Dryer earned one of the most impressive victories of the day in the Boys 800m.
The gun goes off, the boys get out, Dylan is knocked to the track, and the race is recalled. It would have
been easy for him to be frustrated and mentally take himself out of the race. He said, "My start wasn't
the best and I ended up tripping and falling to the ground. After that, I thought to myself 'There are too
many cameras to be acting a fool' so I believed in myself, as I had been doing all week and decided I
could accomplish something today." He went out hard and established himself in the front pack and not
only took the win, but also ran a personal best.
