My most memorable meet was the AHSAA Heptathlon and Decathlon championships. Coming in number one in the state is truly a blessing.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my toughest competition when I did the Decathlon.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most and why?
Winning number one in the decathlon after sustaining a major ankle injury. There was a lot of hard work put in to come out on top and get the victory.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your running career in high school?
I would change my mindset for sure. Coming in as a freshman I wasn't really focused on what the real goal was in the end.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome during your HS Track career?
My most difficult obstacles were definitely my two injuries that I sustained along my High School track career.
What will you miss the most?
I will definitely miss my teammates and the great coaches that helped me along my high school career. Not only on the track but also off the track and in my academics.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
My advice would be to stay focused and have fun.
What are your post-high school or college plans? Who would you like to say thank you to?
I will be running track for Samford University. I would love to say thank you to all of my friends, my family, and my coaches. All glory to God!
