2018 Senior Sendoff: Marley Bright (Sardis)

Name: Marley Bright
School: Sardis High School

Most memorable meet: My most memorable meet is always our county championship meet (Etowah County) My 10th grade year our girls team got first and every year I look forward to competing with all the athletes in our county. It's something I will really miss.

High school accomplishments: out of all my high school accomplishments the one I'm the most proud of is getting Track / XC MVP for my senior year. It makes me happy to know that I was a leader for all of the younger kids.

If I could do it all over again: I would redo track and cross country just to experience it all over and have a better appreciation for the sport. I wouldn't change anything just embrace it more.
Most difficult obstacles: The most difficult obstacles I had to overcome during high school track was probably changing coaches my senior year. I had the same coach pretty much my entire career until this year & I had no idea what to expect.

What will I miss the most: what I will miss the most is just the feeling of family that the track team gave me. We were all so close and supportive towards each other and I will definitely be back to watch some of the younger kids!

Advice for younger kids: My advice for the younger kids is to train hard and run fast. Also, to enjoy every meet and really try their hardest because it will pay off.

College plans: I will be running track & cross country at Spring Hill College & I will be majoring in nursing. #purpleup

Thank you: I would like to say thank you to all of my family for supporting me throughout this journey, but most importantly my Dad. He made me the athlete that I am today and I wouldn't be going this far without him pushing me at every practice & meet.
