Performance of the Week: AHSAA State Championships!

The final poll of the AHSAA Cross Country season has arrived.  There were some absolutely spectacular races on Saturday.  I've compiled some of the best performances from the day for you to vote on.  On the guy's side we are highlighting great performances by individuals who have not won a poll to date.  On the Girl's side we have some previous winners that will go head to head to see who wins the performance of the week!


Boys State Champions:

  • Caleb Yoder (Sand Rock) ran a swift 16:08.92 to claim the title as the 1A/2A Boys State Champion.
  • Caden Phillippi (Bayshore Christian) raced to a remarkable 15:33.72, securing the 4A Boys State Champion title.
  • Bryce McCleary (Hazel Green) clocked an impressive 14:55.17 to win as the 6A Boys State Champion.
  • Ryder Linveille (Scottsboro) finished strong with 16:01.50, taking the 5A Boys State Champion title.


Girls State Champions:

  • Rose Betts (Brewer) delivered a powerful performance with 17:54.60 to become the 5A Girls State Champion.
  • Maddyn Conn (White Plains) crossed the line at 18:15.48, earning the 4A Girls State Champion title.
  • Emma Brooke Levering (Homewood) achieved a stellar time of 17:46.94 to be crowned 6A Girls State Champion.
  • Sarah Tole (Auburn) finished with an impressive 18:13.06, capturing the 7A Girls State Champion title.
