LOGAN AYERS

ST BERNARD

CLASS OF 2014

Favorite Class: AP Chemistry

Hobbies: I read quite a bit, and I enjoy singing, cooking, and biking.

What has been your average weekly mileage this summer? 35-40 miles

Have you changed anything training wise between this year and last year? I run much more and the workouts are more intense than last year.

Goals for this season? I want to run mid-18s and also want to help my team win State for the first time.

What goes through your mind before the gun goes off? Most of the time my mind is blank, I just focus on the gun and starting out right.

Do you have any superstitions when it comes to competing? Not really, I think that as long as I work hard enough, I'll get decent results.

Do you have any post-high school plans? If I can get fast enough, I really do want to run in college, but if I can't, I'll probably continue running as a past-time and entering local road races.

Competition Spikes: Currently in Brooks, but my favorite are my Nike Zoom Rival Ds

Favorite Television Show: Big Bang Theory

What are 3 things in your track bag you can’t live without? Extra socks, a change of clothes, and deodorant

What song do you always listen to before a race? I used to listen to 300 Violin Orchestra, but recently I've been listening to Applause by Lady Gaga, it's really catchy and upbeat.

Do you have a hidden talent you would like to tell us all about? I can cook really well.

Do you play / have you played and other sports? Track. Also, I played soccer the past two years and when I was younger, but I don't plan on playing this year.

Who is your favorite athlete? Cristiano Ronaldo

Favorite (appropriate) joke? A tv antenna and his tv antenna girlfriend got married. The wedding wasn't much, but I heard the reception was great!

Best advice you've been given from a coach? "Hurt just a little more and you will see it makes a huge difference." - William Calvert
