James Robinson boys conquer the Magic Kingdom of Disney

The VA #1 ranked James Robinson traveled all the way down to Orlando, Florida this weekend to compete at the Disney Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex as well as a handful of other Virginia schools including Brentsville, Christiansburg, Hanover, Mountain View, Walsingham Academy, and Westfield. Competing in only their second 5K race of the season (first being in a 3rd place finish behind two nationally ranked squads at the Carlise Invitaitonal in Pennsylvania), the Robinson boys inserted 5 runners among the top 13 places to claim the team title in the 4A division (largest schools) with 43 points. Leading the Rams for the second meet in a race was John Tolbert with a 4th place finish of 16:20 and his teammates kept the spread tight to a mere 25 second margin.

10/12 WKND: Unionville by 3 over FM - Russell and Weisner take Eastern States @ Manhattan

Many top teams will head up to the Bronx on Saturday to compete at the huge Manhattan Invitational! Other squads will have their final tune up races before league championships start next week! Elk County Catholic's Kennedy Weisner faced Tatnall's Reagan Anderson in 2012. This year she is facing Unionville's Courtney Smith.

Strong Performances Carry Ragin' Cajuns At FSU Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Facing its toughest competition of the 2013 season, six runners on the Ragin' Cajuns women's cross country team each posted times of under 20 minutes, while the men's team placed five runners in the top-25 on Friday at the 41st annual Florida State Invitational at the Apalachee Regional Park.

FSU Pre-State: Sukhi Khosla Course Record, Barlow Victorious

It was a big day with a lot of fast times here in Tallahassee. Sukhi Khosla opened the day by coming back from behind to out-power the potent field with a a course record 14:59 in the Boys Elite race. Chiles boys upset Belen Jesuit for the team win. In the Girls Elite race, Caroline Barlow broke out with her first major invitational victory over Emily Edwards in 17:53.

Pre-State Preview: Tallahassee Hosts State's Top Talent

It comes down to this….Four weeks from the state meet on this same course, the top ranked individuals and teams on the boys side and all but one of the top ranked girls, Karen Xiang, and the top ranked teams on the girl’s side gather for their last top level race before they are propelled into the state series. Throw in some talented teams from Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina, some expected temperatures in the low 60’s and we have the makings of a very special set of races.

Paladins cross country teams maintain rankings among Southeast's top 10

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Both Furman cross country teams remain ranked among the top 10 in the Southeast Region, according to the Week 4 regional rankings released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). (via furmanpaladins.com)
