Admission: $10 per adult. Please see attached letter at bottom for GoFan instructions. Cash option is $10 at the gate.

Timing: FAT timing - Kevin Jones - Port City Timing 

Entry Fee: $40 per athlete; Make all checks payable to Gulf Shores High School. Please bring either a check/cash  for the entry fee. All fees will be used to pay officials, timer, meet supplies and medals.

Online Entries: All entries must be submitted online at al.milesplit.us 

Entry deadline: Wednesday, April 16th at MIDNIGHT CDT 

Entrants: There are 5 entries allowed per school per event for each gender. Male athletes will be competing in 5 events Friday and 5 on Saturday. The female athletes will complete 4 events on Friday and 3 on Saturday.

Event Scoring: Standard Decathlon and Heptathlon calculators will be used to award points based on performance.

Field Event Standards:

- Boys pole vault will start at 2.13 meters (7 feet)

- High Jumps starts at:

Girls-1.29 meters = 4 2.75 (5 cm progression)

Boys-1.47 meters = 4 9.75 (5 cm progression)

-Athletes in the vertical jumps will receive 3 attempts at each height.

-Athletes in the horizontal jumps will receive 3 attempts.

-All throws will be completed two and then one to expedite the competition. Furthest throw in the first two throws and the final throw, given both are legal, will be measured. 

-The High Jump bar will move at 5 cm increments.

-Pole Vault bar will move at 10 cm increments.  Starting height for pole vault and high jump by gender and division listed above for boys and girls high jump and pole vault.  

Parking: All buses are asked to park in the field on the visitor side of the stadium after dropping off athletes to allow all other parking to be used by spectators. Team Tents may be set up OUTSIDE the fenced area. The check in area will be inside the fence under the covered picnic area (same as state meet).

Spikes: 1/4 pyramid spikes only 

Concessions: Concessions will be sold. 

Coaching Boxes: When coaching at a field event, all coaches must be inside of the coaching box. Field officials will be instructed to ask a coach to leave if he/she cannot follow directions.

Please inform parents not to purchase tickets until at least the night before to make sure the weather allows us to compete.  If the event is rescheduled, the tickets will still be good if purchased for the original date.
