SPREAD the LIGHT Glow Run 2024

Open the season with a race celebrating the spirit of our greatly missed Cross Country & track & Field teammate, Shereen Yunis. We could always count on Shereen to give us a smile, lift our spirits, encourage, and spread light in our lives.

No need to pack a team tent - we will be in the barn pre race and post race for awards

Landmark Park, hosted by Houston Academy - Xpress Timing - No need to bring tents, teams & spectators may set up and stay cool in the barn.

Team Payments: $100 per team ($200 max per school), or $10 each athlete (payable to Houston Academy, please bring the check to the meet). Please bring a card (Apple pay and Google pay accepted) or cash to pay a $5 Landmark Park entry fee per athlete and coach at the barn in order to support Alabama's official Museum of Agriculture. 

Spectators: Landmark Park entry fee at the barn $5 ages 13+, Children 3-12 $4, park members & children under 2 free (Apple Pay, Google Pay, & cash acceptable).

Kona Ice Truck outside & Landmark Park Concessions in the Stokes Barn available

Coaches - Park Fee $5 per athlete, $5 per coach (in order to support our local Landmark Park)

5:00pm - 2 mile race (boys and girls combined)

5:30 pm - 5K race (boys-please enter boys in the 2 mile race if they cannot complete a 5K in 28 minutes)

6:00 - 5K (girls - please enter girls in the 2 mile race if they cannot complete a 5K in 30 minutes)

Feel free to bring glow in the dark necklaces, etc.

Awards to follow in the Stoke Barn. 

2 mile-  Top 15 boys and Top 15 girls Earn TOP 15 T-shirts

5K - Top 15 in each varsity race earn TOP 15 T-Shirts

2 mile course - 2 loops

5K Course - 2 loops
