Timing: FAT Timing - Port City Timing - Kevin Jones

Entry Fee: The JV/MS entry fee is $250 per school ($125 for each gender team); Schools will not be charged separate for Middle School and JV if both teams are from the same school/feeder pattern, they will both count as one gender team.

Make all checks payable to Saraland High School. Please bring a check with you to the meet. DO NOT MAIL CHECK. A receipt will be included in your team packet. 

Tent/Team Area: All tents should be set up on the Band Field just inside the entry gate, overlooking the track facility.
Restroom Facilities are located behind the concession stand. 

Online Entries: All entries must be submitted online at al.milesplit.us 

Entry deadline: Monday, March 17th, 2025, at 6:00am CDT 

Entrants: There are 5 entries per gender allowed for each school in all running events. We will allow 4 entries in all field events except javelin, which we will only allow 3. There will be 2 entries per gender allowed for each school in the relay races. We will only score the top 3 in open events and top team in the relays. The field event entry allowance is as follows:

Shot Put 4 entries per gender

Disc 4 entries per gender

Javelin 3 entries per gender

High Jump 4 entries per gender

Long Jump 4 entries per gender

Triple jump 4 entries per gender

Pole Vault 4 entries per gender

Athletes are not allowed to compete in more than 4 events total (including relays)

Event Scoring: Open events (Only the top 3 athletes can score per school): 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay events (Only the Top Relay team per school can score): 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 

Field Event Standards:

-Athletes in the horizontal jumps will receive 3 attempts. NO FINALS. 

-All throws will be completed 1 and then 2 to expedite the competition. The first throw will be measured, given it is legal, will be measured. The furthest of the final two throws will also be measured, given it is a legal throw. NO FINALS SARALAND HIGH SCHOOL WILL PROVIDE ALL SHOT PUTS. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN!!! FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN DISCS AND JAVELINS. THEY WILL BE INSPECTED AT THE EVENT BY THE EVENT OFFICIAL/MEET MANAGEMENT

-Shot Put Weights-JV Boys(12lb), JV Girls (4k), MS Boys (8lb), MS Girls (6lb)

-Discus Weights-JV Boys(1.6k), JV Girls (1k), MS Boys (1k), MS Girls (.75k)

-The High Jump bar will move at 2 in increments. (Opening Height: 3'6" for MS girls and 4'0" for MS boys/3'10 for JV Girls and 4'10" for JV Boys)

-The Pole Vault bar will move at 6 in increments (Opening Height: 5'0" for both genders)

Parking: All buses are asked to drop off their athletes and equipment at the gate and then park your bus on the north side of the campus in the grass area near Walmart

Spikes: 1/4 pyramid spikes only hee & a head coach or official must be at the event. Will try and start at 4pm)

Pole Vault (JV-Boys & JV Girls will compete at the same time- max 4 entries per gender per division per school) 
Shot Put (MS Boys first the MS Girls - max 4 entries per gender per division per event)
Javelin (JV Girls first then JV Boys - max 3 entries per gender per division per event)
Discus (MS Girls first then MS Boys - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)
High Jump (MS Girls first then MS Boys - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)
Girls Triple Jump (JV Girls in East Pit  - max 4 entries per gender per division per school) 
Boys Long Jump (MS Boys then JV Boys in West Pit  - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)

Field Events #2 (Warm-up begins at 5:00PM - official or head coach must be present at event) 

High Jump (JV-Girls first the JV Boys  - max 4 entries per gender per division per school) 
Shot Put (JV Boys first then JV Girls - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)
Discus (JV Girls first then JV Boys) - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)
Girl Long Jump  (MS Girls then JV girls n East Pit  - max 4 entries per gender per division per school)

RUNNINGEVENTS: Athletes will compete in flights based on seeded time.  All races will be run as finals.

Please inform parents not to purchase tickets until at least the night before to make sure the weather allows us to compete.  If the event is rescheduled, the tickets will still be good if purchased for the original date.
