Welcome to the Wetumpka High School Invitational. We like to welcome all surrounding schools in the tri-county and black belt area. This meet is an AHSAA official meet and rules will apply. Timing will be done by Dan and Xpress Timing group. Live results will be available.
Awards will be given to the top 3 individuals in all events. Team awards top 2 and MVP
Start Time: 9 A.M. (Saturday) Coaches meeting at 8:30 A.M (Running Events start 10 A.M)
Facility: Wetumpka Complex and Stadium track is eight lanes and consists of a new rubber surface. All throwing will be done at the stadium field. All spikes must be 1/4 inch or shorter. (Spike Check) Teams will be asked to set up tents in designated areas or on the hill. No tents will be allowed in the stands area. No athletes in the competition area unless competing. There is plenty of seating available for spectators. Concession/Vendors available and a hospitality room for coaches. We ask that teams please sit on the visitors side.
$10.00 cash or Gofan admission at the gate for adults (wristbands will be issued)

Directions: From Montgomery: Travel north on Highway 231. When you reach Highway 231 and Highway 14 intersection, turn left onto Coosa River Parkway. Just after you pass over the Coosa River Bridge, turn left into the complex.
From Birmingham: Travel south on I-65. Take the Highway 14 exit (Exit #181). Turn left onto Highway 14 east. In Elmore, Highway 14 turns right at traffic light. When you arrive at Wetumpka, turn left at flashing yellow light onto Coosa River Parkway. Travel approximately 2 miles through two traffic lights and the complex will be on the right.
Equipment: Starting blocks and implements in all field events are supplied. Please bring your own shots, discus, and javelins, and poles but they will become property of the field. Middle school teams should bring girls SP 6lb
Entries: There is an entry limit. Only the top three individuals on a team in each event may score. Additionally, each school may only score one relay. A participant can enter up to 4 events, including relays. All entries will be done online through alabamarunners.com. Please refer to the instructions found there.

Sanctions: The meet is sanctioned by the AHSAA. Scoring: Individual Events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Relays: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Field Events: Each jumper/thrower will have three attempts. In the throws and horizontal jumps, the first mark will be measured, and then subsequent throws/jumps must meet the event standards.
