Athens Invitational

Friday April 21st, 2023 

Location: 

Athens Stadium - 100 US HWY 31 N, Athens AL. 35611

Stadium is located north of the middle school, at the corner of US HWY 31 and 251. Next to the old Athens Rec Center 

Tickets: 

No Cash, All entry tickets will be $6 through GoFan. Link below

Fee: 

$150per team, $300 max for boys and Girls. 

If less than 10 athletes, it will be $15per athlete

Entries: 

All entries need to be made through AL Milesplit. 

Varsity level meet, Minimums will be used on ALL field events. 1st Mark will be measured, every mark that does not hit minimum will not be measured. 

                  Boys/ Girls 

Shot Put-   34 / 24 

Discus -     80/ 60

Javelin-      100/ 60 

Long Jump- 17'0/ 12'0 

Triple Jump- 36'0/ 25'0 

High Jump- 5'0/ 4'0 

High Jump will be on a artificial rubber surface off the track. It is not a official "D Zone" surface. It is 800 square feet of rubber and will be consistent for all. 

All will need to be submitted by Wednesday 19th  at 11:00pm

No Pole Vault 

We are opening up entries as of right now to unlimited. Based on the number of teams registered we may adjust at a later date. Field Minimums will be used. Last chance to prep for SECTIONALS!!

Scoring: 

Medals will be given to top 3 performers in each event. Team awards will be given to 1st place. Traditional scoring will be used for top 8 performers. 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

Field Events: 3:45pm Start

Girls Discus followed by Boys 

Boys Shot Put followed by Girls

Boys Javelin followed by Girls (Practice Field)

Boys Long Jump Followed by Girls

Girls Triple Jump Followed by Boys

Boys High Jump followed by Girls 

Order of Events: 4pm Start (Rolling Schedule)
