Valley/Shawmut Airport. 12th Ave, Valley, AL 36854. GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF 12TH AVE

Course Preview: 2pm - Sunset Friday, Sept 30th.

College Womens 5k: 8:45am EST

College Mens 8k: 9:30am EST

High School Mens 5k: 10:30am EST

High School Womens 5k: 11:00am EST



COURSE DESCRIPTION


All flat, all grass, with a few light gravel crossover points. Located around an old airfield right next to the Chattahoochee River. Large open field makes it very spectator friendly and easy to get around to each mile marker. Course is wide with not a lot of turns. Flat, straight sections provide a good opportunity to PR.



ENTRIES


All final entries must be submitted by Tuesday, September 27th. College entries will go through Direct Athletics, High school via Milesplit. Unattached athletes will need to contact the race director for permission. College entry fee is $150 per gender team ($300 for Men and Women). High School entry fee is $100 per gender team ($200 for Men and Women). Unattached or teams with less than 5 participants is $25 per person. Entry fees must be paid at packet pickup or prior to Oct. 1st. If paying by check please make it out to Point University Cross Country. Mailing address: 507 W 10th Street, West Point, GA 31833



AWARDS


Top 3 finishers will receive a t-shirt. After the results are finished please have your athlete or a member of your staff come pick up their shirt.



ATHLETIC TRAINING


Athletic training personnel will be available at 7:30 AM. They will be located under a Point University tent near the finish line area. In the event the visiting team does not travel with a member of their athletic training staff, athletic training services will be provided with prior notification (preferably 2 days in advance) and the visiting team has appropriate supplies. Ice will be available after the meet.



INCLEMENT WEATHER


A certified and licensed athletic trainer will monitor the weather and make the decision to suspend activity in the event of imminent weather. If it is recommended that activity should be suspended the athletic trainer will notify the race director. Teams will be asked to seek shelter by returning to their respective travel bus/van and fans will need to return to their vehicles. Activity will not resume until given the ALL CLEAR by the athletic trainer. Teams will be given a minimum of 30 minutes to warm up before activity is resumed
