Metro South Cross Country Championship
Veteran Park (Front Side) - Students will begin in the field in the designated starting blocks marked out by the Meet Director. Boxes will be designated by last year's rankings. In other words last years winner will pick their respective box first and then the chain continues until all teams have picked a box. This process will be repeated for both boys and girls race.
The students run the length of the grass field entering the woods on the right side of the lake (gravel path at this point). Students circle the lake via the path and continue to go around the lake a second time. Once the students come across the bridge on their second lap they will veer to the right behind the volleyball courts and in front of the white house along the white picket fence. Runners will continue on the gravel path and run along the parking lot crossing the road near the entrance of this park. At this point, the athletes will take a left turn on the gravel path and run approximately 600 yards to the chuted finish line.
MEET WILL BEGIN AT 12:00 PM. UNLESS CHANGED BY ALL OF THE COACHES !!!!
The entry fee is $75 per school per individual race i.e. a school who has a Girls team and a Boys team would pay $150.00. Check payable to Bumpus Middle School Cross Country.
