2013 5A & 6A SECTION 1 STATE QUALIFYING MEET

NOTE: Read very carefully the special rules section of the AHSAA website pertaining to the Spring Sports Book. Starting heights and minimum qualifying standards of the events are listed. PLEASE do not enter individuals and/or relays that cannot meet these standards!

Date/Site: Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. Buses will be parked in the vacant lot at Catherine and Dauphin.
Admission: $5 per person per day. COACHES MUST SHOW valid AHSAA coaching card for free admission.
Dressing Facility-only in restrooms.
Spikes-1/8 or 1/4 inch only!
Concessions-available both days

ACCORDING to AHSAA SPRING BOOK:

Entries will close at 11:59 p.m., Saturday, April 20. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! Entry Limits: 3 athletes per event, 1 team per relay event. An athlete is limited to a total of 4 events.

A scratch meeting for this section meet will NOT BE HELD.

The section entry fee is $100 per boys team and $100 per girls team. Mailed checks MUST be received by Monday, April 23rd. You may also bring it to the meet. TEAMS WITHOUT PAYMENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO MCTSPIKES. Ribbons will be given to top 3 finishers in each event. Team trophies will be awarded for Section Champion and Section Runner-up.

Eight places will be scored. Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for individual and relay events.

Each class in a section will qualify top 5 performances meeting qualifying standards for each event. REFER TO SPRING BOOK for information regarding minimum standards, wildcards & settling of ties.
