Software Review: Coach's Eye

A few years back our staff purchased several Kodak video cameras and the Eagle Eye analysis package to help us with our technical events.  While this is pretty helpful, I have always hated uploading the video to a computer to watch what was going on.  A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this application and knew immediately if it worked, it was just what I had been needing.

Name: Coach's Eye

What It Does: Now this is the cool part.  Iphones and IPads have cameras built in to them.  This application allows you to record the video and then analyze it in slow motion while adding drawings (imagine Monday night football play analysis) and Voice over.  Once you're done, you can send the video directly to someone via text or email, save to the camera roll, or upload to YouTube, DropBox or EverNote.

While I realize everyone does not have an IOs device, those that do should definately consider this application.  At under $4.99 it is far cheaper than an alternative I can think of.  The software is amazing.  I can now watch my jumpers and show them immediately what they are doing...not just tell them or show them the next day when I have uploaded the video to a computer.  I am sold.  While I requested (and was given) a review copy, I later went back and bought it.  I am that much of a fan.

I would upload some of my triple jump videos but I'd rather not recieve email about my poor skills at drawing.  Instead I have included as example video they have on the software website.
