How do you balance the demand of school and practice with being a normal teenager?
Luckily I have a study hall first period so I usually get all my school work done during it. I still try to find time to be with my friends its just not as much during the season as it is out of the season.

How do you get focused before practice? Meet?
Before every meet I always go to McDonalds and get two egg mcmuffins.
Do you have any post season plans?
I am going to jump in college somewhere I have a couple of schools on the table but I am not sure which one yet.

What do you do in the summer to prepare for Track Season:
This summer I was up at 4:30am every morning either lifting weights or jumping with Thomas Fowlkes; The current state record holder. He helped me out alot and between him and my coach Drew Bentley got me where I am at today.

What is a daily workout like for you?
2 mile warm up run
30m sprint mechanics and hurdle mobility
8 x 200m
weights: 4-3-2-1 combo olympic lifts( hang clean, front squat, split jerk)
7 x high bar drills: knee ups, windshield wipers, bubkas, pull overs, muscle ups

Superstitions:
The socks. It is tradition to wear the big white and black stripped socks. If you have jumped over 13 feet then you get the socks. Its a pretty big deal at McGill. Every person who has gone over 4.90 in Alabama has worn these socks. High Vaultage Club is what they mean

Goals for this season?
4.90 has been my goal ever since I began vaulting. Now that I have got that i want to go 5.0m but i still think I can go higher this year. My other goal is to break the Alabama State record which is 16 1 3/4
Favorite Subject in School
Math...I want to major in engineering in college.
